BUDDHA ART PAINTINGS
PRESENCE
My Buddha Art paintings began with the presence of Buddha, and transformed into something distinctly my own.
Layers of texture give each painting its own character, sometimes quiet, sometimes joyful and sometimes bold.
I’m drawn to bringing the familiar image of Buddha into a contemporary visual language.
I call it spirit. Someone else may call it God, faith, source, nature, or something entirely their own. I've spent years painting Buddhas and landscapes, and somewhere in the process, the presence of stillness led me to recognize a connection to something beyond myself.
These original paintings carry a presence that feels very much alive in the world that we live in right now. EK
Stillness In Stone, my first Buddha Art Painting, was painted during a time when I was discovering a deeper stillness in my own life. I could feel that these paintings were opening a new direction in my work something meaningful that I wanted to continue to explore.

Over time, I began to understand that the quiet I found while painting was also something we experience when living with art. A painting catches our attention, invites us to stop for a moment, or simply becomes a presence we return to each day.
For me, this is where Art Living begins.
