Pure Joy has a presence that is immediate. A laughing Buddha fills the canvas, surrounded by soft lavender, warm gold and layers of texture.

The enormous smile and happy presence has an ease, as though joy isn't something Buddha is searching for, but something that is already known.

 

The feeling of joy seems to come forward. There is humor here, warmth, and something wonderfully uncomplicated. A reminder, perhaps, that joy doesn't always need a reason.
