Quiet Strength holds you in the tenderness between two elephants. Their trunks meet and curl around one another, while the softness of
the muted earth tones allows the gesture between them to become the center of the painting. There is a quiet strength in their enormous bodies, and a quiet wisdom that
they share.
Does strength need to announce itself? Sometimes it is found in connection, in knowing when to reach toward another and when simply to remain close. Quiet Strength is a reminder
that tenderness and strength can exist in the same place.
This painting is included in the Presence Collection along side the Buddha Art Paintings, because elephants have a quiet presence and wisdom that feels much the same.
